The original recording of this work was published on Ian's frst solo album released by Koch International Classics. "Cuando se abre en la mañana" was performed by soprano Sun Young Kim and guitarist Scott Tennant. The album also featured Maria Bachmann's searing performance of Rhapsody for Violin and Orchestra, with the New Zealand Philharmonic conducted by James Sedares and Tientos for flute and string trio, performed by Boston based Dinosaur Annex
